If you have visited the Welcome page you already know that this site is dedicated to presenting the South Houston High School Class of 1966 Yearbook, The Palladium.

The various sections of the 1966 Palladium have been scanned and edited (to greater or lesser extents) depending upon the material:

1. • Each page of the senior class pictures from the Palladium is given its own album. The original page is displayed first, followed by the picture of each classmate on that page. The individual pictures have been cropped, edited (white balance adjustments, tone curve adjustments to improve contrast, sharpened, and noise reduction applied), and retouched (dust specks and other flaws brushed out, torn or blemished images patched, etc). The senior class pictures received the most extensive editing, retouching and repair of any of the photos in the Palladium. Starting with such small originals, there is a limit to what can be achieved but every effort has been made to ensure the best possible final image.
   

1. • Other pages (Faculty, Clubs, etc) are presented on a page by page basis, just as they were in the printed book. Each page has been cropped and basic editing and retouching applied
   

This site should be considered a prototype. My plans are to add the class pictures from the junior and sophomore years for our class and to make further improvements to the site. These improvements include adding a biographical information page for each classmate, linked to their senior photo, implemented via a database and with a data entry function so each classmate can enter and modify their own information.

Please note that some photos may be missing at the time this site goes live. I will be working to add the photos of all senior classmates as soon as possible.

This has been a labor of love. By the time this is finished and the ultimate site complete,hundreds of  hours of time will have been spent. Consider it my gift to all the classmates I knew or should have known.
